In 2017 we launched The Legacy Award to celebrate Diana’s legacy in the 20th Anniversary year. Taking place every two years, this unique accolade celebrates the achievements of the 20 most outstanding Diana Award Recipients from the previous two years who have changed the world, as the late Princess Diana believed they could.
Legacy Award Recipients receive two years of bespoke support aimed at creating opportunities and strengthening their impact. Alongside a week-long residential experience and Legacy Award Ceremony, Legacy Award Recipients receive coaching, mentoring, skills-building, and networking support.
The 2024 Legacy Award Experience was sponsored by Gilead Sciences and supported by Atrum and British Airways.
The Legacy Award Ceremony took place at the Science Museum, London in March 2024, with awards presented by HRH The Prince of Wales in The Diana Award’s 25th anniversary year, learn more about it here.

Diana Award Recipients will be notified by The Diana Award team if they have been selected to receive the Legacy Award.
The Legacy Award aims to create opportunities for the world’s leading humanitarian and social activists, strengthen their impact and inspire a generation of young people to change the world. We do this through two years of group sessions, events and one-to-one support, including a residential week of training and networking, a Legacy Award Ceremony to celebrate their accomplishments.
We couldn’t do what we do without the support of our sponsors.
