Having grown up in a patriarchal society, Nafira is determined to abolish social taboos and discrimination in Bangladesh.
In 2019, she founded 'Amplitude' – a non-profit organisation led by the youths of Bangladesh who strive to eradicate discrimination by providing sustainable solutions.
Despite facing many challenges, she has worked relentlessly for the underprivileged. With 30+ volunteers, Amplitude has quickly become a driving force in the realm of social justice and equality
The goals of the non-profit include establishing and sustaining equality, fighting against discrimination, breaking societal taboos, and sharing privilege to create a fair and just society.
She has also led 30+ charity events helping marginalised people, with one of their main events being an art exhibition and open mic night. The event showcased 40 underprivileged artists, with the funds from the tickets raising 100,000 BDT which was used to buy art supplies for over 200 orphans.
With unwavering resilience and passion for bringing change, Nafira stands strong fighting to make society a better place for everyone.
