The Diana Award has secured funding from Youth Futures Foundation to commission a ‘Best Practices in UK Youth Mentoring Interventions’ report. External consultants are developing the report to share evidence on effective UK mentoring approaches, aiming to create a valuable resource for mentoring organisations. This report will be published at the beginning of 2025.

On 30 May 2024, Parliament dissolved and therefore all All-Party Parliamentary Groups ceased to exist. The Diana Award previously served as secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Mentoring. We are now in the process of re-establishing the APPG on Mentoring following the general election.
The following information is for archival purposes, accurate as of 30 May 2024.
The informal network of mentoring organisations (the Network) was created in mid-2023, after the need for it was identified during a networking and discussion session with the APPG on Mentoring.
The Network provides a platform for organisations to share ideas and challenges and to identify clear asks and messaging to bring to parliamentarians at APPG Meetings. The Network is made up of representatives from a range of organisations that deliver mentoring interventions, as well as academics with expertise in mentoring. Network meetings are held on an alternating in-person and online basis every 3-4 months, with each session focusing on a different topic. These meetings also provide valuable networking opportunities.
Hear from keynote speakers, experts by lived experience, mentoring organisations and professionals, and other key stakeholders at our meetings.
Become a part of the APPG community and associated informal network of mentoring organisations to share best practice, learn from others, and build new connections with your colleagues from across the UK mentoring community.
Contribute to leading research into the impact of mentoring.
If you are involved in mentoring and would like to join the informal network of mentoring organisations, please sign up! Please note that due to safeguarding reasons, the Informal Mentoring Network currently only works with individuals aged eighteen and over.
