GEORGE'S STORY_

George began raising money to say thank you to the hospital that saved his little brother’s life.

When George was aged four, his brother James was born premature and ended up in a coma. After James recovered, George decided to show his gratitude by raising money for the hospital that cared of him.

He established the charity Run With George to fundraise by running a mile for every month that he had his brother. He then came up with the idea of asking celebrities to run with him so that more people would see his story. George has ran with Steven Gerrard, Sir Chris Hoy, Ben Shephard, Dermont O’Leary, Susannah Reid and more.  His campaign has reached a national level and he ended up running 208 miles and inspired many to participate and contribute.

George’s charity has raised £771,500, all of which has gone towards purchasing life-saving medical equipment for Alder Hey Children’s hospital.
