Anti-Racist Bullying

We equip students to understand and recognise racism, such as the use of slurs or racial stereotyping. We empower them to tackle racist and faith-based bullying through positive action. This training is suitable for both primary and secondary schools, with age-differentiated and age-appropriate activities.

Anti-Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (Anti-HBT)

We help students explore the LGBTQ+ community and address misconceptions. We support students to create a more inclusive and welcoming school for LGBTQ+ students. This training is suitable for both primary and secondary schools, with age-differentiated and age-appropriate activities.

Consent & Boundaries

We help primary school students explore healthy and respectful relationships and friendships. We enable them to practise self-advocacy and clear communication. This session is for primary schools only.

WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN FROM INCLUSION SESSIONS?

Available to schools who have already attend our initial regional Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme training, students can attend one of the above FREE additional online training sessions, delivered by our anti-bullying experts.

After the session, we offer students and educators tailored support to develop exciting initiatives that will create real impact in your school, community and beyond.

Attending a session can count as an action towards achieving your Inclusion Badge. Students will build on their existing knowledge as Anti-Bullying Ambassadors to plan events and initiatives that promote meaningful inclusion.

Your pupils will achieve the following aims:

I know what racist or homophobic bullying behaviour is, or I know what consent and boundaries are

I can identify disrespectful and bullying behaviours, and I understand how they can make someone feel

I can respond safely to incidents of bullying behaviour and crossed boundaries, and support targeted students

I am confident in using my skills as an Anti-Bullying Ambassador to make my school a kinder, more respectful place

I can help create exciting anti-bullying initiatives built on inclusion and acceptance

Please note: This training and support is only available to trained Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. If you do not yet have trained Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, please follow the link below to see a list of confirmed initial Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme training event locations.

DOES THIS SUPPORT THE RSE CURRICULUM?

Yes! Training sessions have been designed with the RSE Curriculum in mind to ensure key topics are addressed. As such, topics include learning about ‘positive relationships’, including ‘friendships’ and ‘relationships with other children and with adults’, as well as ‘how to treat others with kindness, consideration and respect’ and more.

HOW DOES THE TRAINING SENSITIVELY ADDRESS THESE COMPLEX TOPICS?

We understand conversations around race, the LGBTQ+ community or consent can sometimes be difficult for young people and educators. However, we also know that increasing numbers of young people are experiencing bullying behaviour targeting these protected characteristics. We also recognise the importance of instilling an understanding of consent at an early age, to prevent incidents of crossed boundaries between peers.

Our inclusion training sessions provide a safe and non-judgemental space in which to address these topics. Training is delivered by an anti-bullying expert who will facilitate youth-led conversations and activities. Pupil wellbeing is at the heart of all that we do. We provide pre and post-session advice and guidance and a dedicated anti-bullying team who are on hand to answer any queries you may have.

IS THE TRAINING SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES?

Yes, our training sessions are split by primary/secondary school level, with differentiated activities, definitions and discussions.

WHAT DOES THIS TRAINING COVER?

The anti-racist bullying behaviour training session equips students to tackle racist bullying behaviour, such as the use of slurs or racial stereotyping, by increasing students’ understanding of the issue and inspire ideas for positive action to address it.

The anti-sexual bullying training addresses bullying with a sexual element, which might include sexual comments, taunts or threats, non-consensual contact, upskirting, sharing of sexual imagery/videos, games with a sexual element and pressure to conform to gender norms.

All of the above are delivered through engaging, fun and age-appropriate activities.
