ANTI-BULLYING WEBINAR SERIES_

FOR EDUCATORS

The Diana Award is proud to present a free online anti-bullying webinar series for school staff, thanks to funding from the Department for Education, Facebook and Zurich.

Each of our online anti-bullying webinar sessions are live and interactive, with opportunities to ask our Anti-Bullying expert your questions.

Following the webinar, attendees will have access to further anti-bullying opportunities and support from our anti-bullying team. Each webinar will last 30-40 minutes, with time for a Q&A at the end.

These webinars are for any school staff member, educator or youth facilitator who would like guidance on anti-bullying work in schools. Please be advised that all webinars will be recorded for safeguarding and quality assurance purposes.

Our webinar series is suitable for school staff at any stage of your anti-bullying campaign. However, we strongly recommend attending the first webinar in the series to ensure a sound understanding of the foundations of bullying behaviour.

Bullying Behaviour: How to Define Bullying and Effectively Support Students

40% of young people are worried about going back to school because of bullying and nearly a quarter (23%) think their school doesn’t tackle bullying well. (The Diana Award, 2019)

In this webinar, we’ll focus on how to define bullying behaviour, explore the 3 different types of bullying behaviour, understand the different roles that people adopt in a bullying situation, how this can play out in your school and discuss how to best support students.

With young people spending more time online during lockdown, it’s never been more important to support students to stay safe online.

In this webinar, we’ll focus on defining cyberbullying behaviour, explore the various online apps and platforms young people use and build your confidence and skills when supporting young people who may experience cyberbullying behaviour.

About our Anti-Bullying Trainers

When not in lockdown, our Anti-Bullying Trainers travel the length of the UK to train young people in Primary and Secondary schools to become Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. We also equip school staff with the skills and knowledge to effectively tackle bullying behaviour.
