Earn extra Anti-Bullying badges to proudly wear around school.
We know that our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are running incredible campaigns in their schools to support their peers and change bullying behaviours. We want to reward them for their hard work.
We are giving Diana Award trained Anti-Bullying Ambassadors the opportunity to earn extra badges to proudly wear around school, demonstrating the school’s commitment to varied anti-bullying work. Take a look below to see what the four badges are, what campaigns fit into each category and what you have to do to earn them.
We want you to be able to keep working towards these badges whilst at home, that’s why we created this free resource for some inspiration for earning each badge.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS_
CAN I EARN BADGES DURING LOCKDOWN?
Yes! We want you to be able to keep working towards these badges whilst at home, that’s why we created this free recourse. Keep reading for some inspiration for earning each badge!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO EARN A BADGE?
For each campaign, we suggest that you focus on the area for at least 3 months and some actions should be long-term, such as setting up an ongoing lunchtime support session or Pride group. Some schools will spend an academic year focusing on the campaign to ensure they have made a demonstrative positive impact and created a sustainable campaign.
CAN I WORK TOWARDS MORE THAN ONE BADGE AT A TIME?
We recommend working towards one badge at a time. This is because it is a campaign that you will run, not one-off actions.
CAN I USE PAST WORK IN MY EVIDENCE?
You may have done significant pieces of work in the past that will contribute towards your badges.
We ask that only work that has been completed by the current Anti-Bullying Ambassador team is submitted and the work must have been initiated or maintained within the last year and ongoing. As the badges are designed to act as an exciting incentive to maintain the motivation of your current Anti-Bullying Ambassador team, we’d recommend that past actions can count for only 2 out of the 5 required actions.
The final 3 actions will need to be planned and carried out with the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors knowing what it is they are aiming towards.
WHAT DO WE RECEIVE WHEN WE EARN A BADGE?
The Anti-Bullying Ambassador team will each receive a physical badge in the post. We will only be able to provide the actual badges for those who have attended our official training. You will also receive a congratulatory letter.
ARE THERE ANY ACTIONS THAT WE CAN’T USE TO EARN A BADGE?
Base-level Anti-Bullying Ambassador actions, such as introductory assemblies or team meetings, will not be counted as an action towards the badges. This is because the actions should be specifically focused on the topic of the badge.
For example, if you are using an assembly as an action for the Respect Badge, it should be specifically focused on anti-HBT or race related topics. If you are using a team meeting as an action for the Wellbeing Badge, it could be a meeting with an external professional to discuss mental health.
