Bushra Farooq

Diana Champion Volunteer Award

Bushra started volunteering at the age of 16 to help others, little did she know how she herself would also benefit from the experience. Volunteering helped to proactively fill a void that she was feeling in her life. Serendipitously, she was assigned to work with a 5 year old autistic girl who helped Bushra recognise her own potential. Since then, Bushra has dreamed of running her own NGO someday so that she may help to to educate children with different disorders, and care for them according to their needs, as well as provide a platform for like-minded youths to volunteer. Over the years Bushra has tallied up over 500+ hours of volunteer work.
