THE AWARD PROGRAMME
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”Diana, Princess of Wales
The Diana Award is awarded to courageous, caring, compassionate young people, transforming the lives of others in the name of Diana, Princess of Wales.
Diana Award holders come from all walks of life and many have challenging and disadvantaged backgrounds, however they share a deep sense of social responsibility. They could be giving up their time to mentor other students, a young carer, taking part in anti-bullying initiatives, fundraising or campaigning for a cause close to their heart. Whatever they are doing, they have one thing in common, a desire to make a difference and improve the lives of others.
We know that if young people are encouraged for their efforts, they are empowered to reach their full potential and feel confident they can make change happen.
The award has five categories for individuals and groups of young people aged between 9 and 18.
For young people who tackle bullying in schools and communities.
Know a young person or group of young people, aged 9-18 that fit any of the above descriptions. Nominate them for a Diana Award today
