The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors have been extremely busy!
Apart from organising National Anti-Bullying Week 2011, the Diana Award Anti-Bullying team have been visiting schools to see the amazing effort a number of ambassadors have made throughout the year in their school or academy.
A student at Roundwood Park School got in touch with us on facebook, here’s a snippet of what she had to say: “At Roundwood Park School, we are selling anti-bullying 2011 wristbands, organising a raffle with the main prize being and iPod Nano with beat bullying engraved on it, and organising a poster competition for year 7 & 8. We are also organising assemblies throughout the week to all the different year groups.” A number of young people did this and as a result we visited the schools!

All the art classes at Quarry Bank Primary School made paper flowers and gave these out on their local high street. They also held an assembly called “lostphobia” in which they explored the idea of how bullying can make you feel and what you must do if you are feeling sad.
At Aylsham High School, Friendly Faces was originally set up as one of the many ways to dealing with bullying within their school community. Pupils deal with problems themselves via trained peer mentors with a positive impact. They run a Friendly Face Roadshow which gives all new year 7s someone they can approach for help before they even start at the school. They’ve just received the Diana Anti-bullying Champion Award for their work.
