Congratulations Maggie!

Chief Executive Maggie awarded OBE in 2010 honours list. Maggie said: ‘I am overwhelmed and humbled. I accept this award on behalf of and in recognition of the amazing and selfless contribution our 30,000 Diana Award holders make to the communities in which they live. They inspire me every day and this award is for us all – and will help us build on our shared successes.’

Maggie has been awarded an OBE for services to young people, in which she has worked tirelessly for 20 years. She spent 3 years as a social worker, followed by 11 years at ChildLine before joining the Diana Award in 2003.

Ben Bilverstone, Diana Award holder and Trustee said: “I am delighted Maggie has been awarded an OBE, I cannot think of a better candidate to receive an OBE, Maggie’s commitment, passion and drive for recognising the good in young people is outstanding. Maggie has encouraged and supported myself and so many award holders, she enables us to carry on acting as a force for good in our communities. It’s an honour to work with Maggie, she is a beacon of hope, that we are all so very proud of.”
