Free The Children is an international charity founded in 1995 by 12 year old Craig Kielburger. Today the charity works with over one million young people in over 45 countries!
There are three ways that as a Diana Award Holder you can also be involved with Free The Children.
1.We Day is a stadium sized event that celebrates your commitment as young people to create a better world and hopefully will inspire others, as a generation, to take action! The first ever UK based We Day will be taking place at London’s Wembley Arena in the 2013 – 2014 academic year. Previous guests at We Days have included His Holiness the Dalai Lama, former U.S. vice president Al Gore, Sir Richard Branson and Justin Bieber. We Day tickets are free of charge, they are earned through social service and community action.

2. Be The Change is a motivational assembly and workshop which will train you to reach your full potential as agents of change. We’re really excited about the programme and so have booked a special workshop taking place in London on the 5th February 2013. 3. Travel scholarships to India Free The Children are offering 30 fully paid travel scholarships to India during summer 2013 to passionate people aged 12 and over who are taking positive action. These trips will give you the chance to; volunteer to help build a school classroom, learn more about the local culture and community whilst providing you with tangible leadership skills.
