Award Holders to carry Olympic Torch

We are delighted that so many of our Award Holders are carrying the Olympic Torch! Only 8,000 inspirational people have been chosen to carry the torch and we know that is an experience each one will cherish forever.

17 year old Cameron Foster – Diana Champion Fundraiser, carried the Olympic torch through his hometown Hindley on 31st May. On carrying the torch Cameron said: “I feel totally honoured and privileged to have been given this amazing opportunity to be part of the London 2012 Olympic legacy. I hope my story continues to inspire others to get involved with their local communities and raise the awareness of the good work other young people in the UK are doing. I hope I do my home town of Hindley proud and I look forward to giving my local community their moment to shine.”

17 year old Jenna Speirs – Diana Champion Fundraiser, carried the Olympic torch through Girvan. On carrying the torch Jenna said: “Carrying the Olympic Flame was the proudest moment of my life and I can’t believe I have done it! It was an incredible experience and one which I’ll never forget.”
