National Award Ceremony
Hi! I received the Diana Champion Fundraiser award in May, for my help on a charity committee at my school. Together with some of my peers we arranged a week of fundraising events, raising over £16,000, for two very worthwhile charities. Maybe the best event arranged by our committee during the week was the fancy dress day in which many boys in the group, including myself, were sponsored to dress up as fairies!
This month I was asked by the Diana Award team to help with their annual award ceremony at Barclays in London. I really enjoyed the day volunteering as an usher, helping the ceremony run as smoothly as possible. It was nice to see even more young people receive the award and have their positive actions celebrated. The Diana Award is an award that lasts for life and offers so many opportunities, so I hope everyone makes use of these and gets involved, much like I did at the Award ceremony last month.
